leadership Program

The Kansas Pharmacy Foundation (KPF) is bringing the Kansas Leadership Centers’ (KLC) When Everyone Leads Experience to Kansas-licensed pharmacy practitioners, pharmacy technicians, and students at the University of Kansas’ School of Pharmacy (KU SoP).

Tough challenges are all around us appearing in our professional lives, in our communities and our families. They can seem unsolvable, unreachable and beyond our ability to grasp what needs to be done. We can work on these challenges for days, weeks or even years, and still not see progress. Often, we are stuck, and for progress to happen, we need to exercise leadership—not just leadership from the few, but from the many. Participants will come to understand that to solve tough 21st century challenges we need everyone leading.

The When Everyone Leads program is designed to inspire a transformation in how people define and practice leadership and ignite the spark for collective leadership. By the end of this 1-day program, participants will feel energized by the idea that leadership is an activity available to everyone, embrace a growing desire to mobilize and motivate others to exercise more leadership, authorize themselves to exercise more leadership more often for the sake of what matters most.

Sponsors are invited to attend the participant reception on Friday, April 26, at KU SoP from 5-7 p.m.

Required Participation Time & Commitment: Selected applicants will be required to apply through KLC’s website to obtain the When Everyone Leads book that participants are expected to read prior to the in-person class. Participants will need to be on site the whole time, and also attend a reception on Friday evening, April 26, to celebrate their selection. Following the in-person, there will be one post-session, 90-minute engagement whereby participants are expected to share how they have used the knowledge gained during class in their lives.

Each selected participant agrees to participate with the KPhA Board of Directors (BoD) upon graduation from the When Everyone Leads Experience for a period of one year or one term. They can select to sit on one of KPhA's standing committees or run for an open seat on the BoD.
