KPhA GAC Activities
Day With the Legislature
Every year, the GAC coordinates and hosts KPhA Day with the Legislature in Topeka. KPhA members take over the halls at the Kansas Statehouse to discuss issues that the Legislature will consider during the Legislative Session that are of importance to pharmacy. During our time at the Capitol, KPhA members meet with their legislators to build, maintain and grow these important relationships.

Who Represents You?
An excellent way to help the GAC, and pharmacy in general, is to reach out to the legislators and other elected officials that represent you. To find who represents you, click here. Building a relationship and trust with an elected official is important so when a pharmacy related bill comes up, they call you, a pharmacist, to educate them on the bill. Below are some ways to engage with any elected official:
- Give them a call
- Put their yard sign in your lawn or place of business
- Help them put out yard signs across the community
- Help them put door flyers on homes
- Walk with them in a parade
- Host a neighborhood coffee event
- Invite them to your pharmacy
- Meet with them at their office
As we say "A little bit goes a long way."
