KPhA Advocacy Day

KPhA's Advocacy Day brings pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists together for grassroots advocacy with Kansas lawmakers. It provides an opportunity to share your story with representatives and senators at the Kansas State Capitol and help advance our priorities into this year’s legislative session!

Protect medication access - Stop pharmacy closures - PBM reform now

SAVE THE DATE!!!

The 2025 KPhA Advocacy Day will be Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025 - please plan to attend this critical event!

We welcome anyone involved in Kansas pharmacy to attend - member or not. KPhA represents everyone working at a Kansas pharmacy.

Our deadline for name tags and lunch has now passed,  but please still RSVP if you plan to join us on Wednesday to be included in the final count! Please understand that we will not have lunch for you and you will need to make other plans such as the Lettuce Eat Capitol Cafe on the ground floor.

Comfortable walking shoes

Fully charged phone - take notes & photos!

Advocacy Training

Not sure what to say? Intimidated by the process? This morning training will give you the talking point and tools you need to be an advocate for pharmacy.

Meetings with Legislators

10-15 minute meetings with your legislators will be scheduled for you by KPhA, but due to the number of attendees and the pace of legislative session, an appointment is not guaranteed. You'll be paired with experienced advocates to help you get comfortable with the process.

Getting around + parking

The Statehouse has an underground parking facility along its north side off 8th Street. Parking here is free, but space is limited and fills early so we do not recommend taking time to try this lot. The City of Topeka operates garages at Crosby Place, 108 SW 8th St., and Centre City, 825 S Kansas Ave., which are the most convenient locations to park. Metered parking also is available on streets around the Capitol - download the Passport Parking app to speed up your parking. Please note: Construction at the Docking State Office Building, 10th and Harrison, is causing road closures along Harrison Street.
