Independent pharmacy owners, patient groups, and fellow medical providers from across the U.S. will join together on May 17 for a historic protest of Express Scripts on the public sidewalk at 1 Express Scripts Way, across the street from Express Scripts headquarters in downtown St. Louis, MO.
Loretta Boesing, founder of Unite for Safe Medications and a friend and advocate for independent pharmacies, is organizing the protest with help from PUTT. Many pharmacy and patient organizations are expressing their support for the event by sending representatives to attend and speak at the protest.
More information and a link to securely register to attend can be found here. While there’s no cost to attend the protest, registering allows PUTT to communicate with attendees ahead of and during the event. (And though it goes without saying, PUTT will never sell, share or otherwise disclose information related to event attendees).
Bring your white coats, your protest signs, and most importantly your willingness to stand up for your rights as a small business owner and care provider. Together we can show Express Scripts that when it comes to being allowed to provide patient care under fair and reasonable contract terms, independent pharmacies mean business!
